San Francisco Pride 2021

In January 2021, I was approached by San Francisco Pride to design the new logo and key art for their upcoming celebrations in June 2021. The brief emphasized the theme of “The Summer of Love” and called for a fresh, innovative approach that would distinguish this year’s design from past iterations.

Although the brief initially requested a single design, upon presenting three design concepts in the first round, SF Pride chose two to move forward.

The primary logo is a stylized logotype inspired by San Francisco's iconic “Summer of Love,” as per the client’s specifications. I provided multiple color options and collaborated closely with the team to refine the final color palette.

For the alternate design, I created an abstract face-mask featuring the new inclusive Pride flag, angled to form the shape of a heart. This design was selected for future use as a watermark and across various branding materials for SF Pride’s communications and media.
